Nishita college ties up with US varsity
In the light of increased H1 quota for US educated students,
Nishita College of Engineering and Technology has tied up with
Towson University, Maryland, USA, to ensure that the college
students get admission only on TOEFL scores and fee waiver for
students joining the four-year doctoral programme.
Chairman of the Nishita institutions, C. Vinaya Kumar said that
their college students would also get application fee waiver at
the University that is considered as one of the best regional
public universities in the US. It offers more than 100
bachelors, masters and doctoral degree programmes with a
strength of more than 21,000 students. As per the agreement,
students of Nishita joining the doctoral programme would get 50
per cent assistantship in the first year of the MS course apart
from $ 500 stipend per month. During the next three years all
the admitted students will get 100 per cent assistantship and $
1,000 stipend per month. “It’s a unique tie-up that will benefit
our students enormously,” Mr. Vinaya Kumar said. He said such
tie-ups also help in easy visa processing. Moreover, Towson
University has agreed to admit students only on TOEFL scores .
